1. What type of building are we moving to

K&M Tower is a newly completed office comprising 12 floors with 2 basements as well as 600sqm of open parking area at the front of the building.

2. Why are we moving?

We need to relocate our office as the landlord has not agreed to an extension to the current lease. This provides us with an opportunity to upgrade our office facilities to improve the working environment for our staff and create a workspace that inspires and motivates us all and engenders increased collaboration across business lines.

3. When will we relocate to the new office ?

We are currently aiming to complete the project and have all staff relocated to the new office by the middle of October, 2019.

4. Where is the new office located?

The new office is located at K & M Tower, 33 Ung Van Khiem Street, Binh Thanh District. We have leased 5 floors on Level 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5.

5. Will motorbike parking be provided?

Yes motorbike parking will be provide. The building has 2 basements for motor bike parking for staff.

6. How will the relocation be done?

A specialist moving contractor will be engaged to support the relocation of staff and office equipment.

7. How heavy can my moving box be?

Packing boxes should only be used to pack personal affects, working documents and documents to be relocated. If you have special requirements to pack and move heavy objects please contact the Administration and Procurement Team.

8. Are there cafes or restaurants near the office?

There are a variety of cafes and restaurants within walking distance from the office including a Highlands Coffee conveniently located across the road in the Pax Building.

9. Will we get new chairs?

Yes. New chairs are being procured as part of the new office design. Further details will be communicated once details have been finalized.

10. Will there be a café/canteen?

Yes a work café will be provided and is presently in the design stage.

11. Will my employment contract change?

No. There will be no change to your present employment contract.

12. Will the relocation change or affect my job at all?

No. The relocation will not have any immediate impact on your role or job however the new office environment will provide opportunities for better communication and collaboration amongst us all.

13. What facilities will the new office have?

Our office will provide a variety of different facilities designed to improve the way staff work and collaborate together. These will include improved technology enhancements, more meeting rooms and different work spaces. Large multipurpose rooms for meetings and training, as well as a new work café.

14. How do I arrange or apply for motorbike parking?

15. Can I park my car at the office?

Limited car parking is available on site. Please contact the Administration and Procurement team for more information

16. What will I have to do on the day of the move?

17. How long will it take to move?

We anticipate that the relocation will be done in 2 phases over two separate weekends. Further details of the move plan will be communicated closer to the time.

18. Where will I sit?

Your manager will advise you of your desk location once the seating plans are finalized with all business units.

19. What if I am away on the day my team moves?

20. Do I have to pack up my own desk?

Yes you will be required to pack up your personal affects, working documents and any files or records that need to be relocated to the new office. Further details on how to prepare for the relocation will be communicated close to the time.

21. How do I get moving boxes?

22. What if I need more moving boxes?

You can order more packing boxes from the Administration and Procurement team.

24. Who will move my computer?

25. Will I have access to the network on the first day of the move?

Yes. The IT department will ensure the network infrastructure is operational prior to relocating staff.

26. Will I have a telephone at my desk?

No. Telephone services will be provided via VOIP and your computer. The IT department will provide further information on how the telephone system will work in the office in future updates.

27. What are the building working hours?

The buildings working hours are from 7.00am to 7.00pm Monday to Friday and 7.00am to 12.00pm on Saturday.

28. What are the air conditioning hours for the office?

Air conditioning will be provided in accordance with building working hours. Details on how to extend air conditioning hours will be provided separately.

29. Can I access the building/office after hours?

Yes – access to the building and office will be possible after hours.

30. What is the office design?

The office is being designed in line with modern open floor plan work place design practices and will provide an open collaborative work environment

31. How many lifts are there?

There are 2 lifts servicing the building

32. Will the office have any security systems/guards?

Building management is responsible for providing general security for the building and car parking area. Details of the specific office security will be communicated separately once the details have been worked through.

33. What filing and storage will be available?

A variety of filing and storage facilities will be provided but on a limited basis.

34. Are there any foods banned from the office?

Yes certain foods like durian are banned from the office. More detail

35. Can I cook food in the office?

No. The building does not permit the cooking of food in the building.

36. Can I get my lunch delivered to the office?

Yes you can have your lunch/refreshments delivered to the office throughout the day from various popular delivery services

37. How can guests/vendors/partners access the office?

38. How will deliveries be managed?

39. Are there any building regulations or rules?

Yes the building has regulations and rules for the operation of the building. Details of these will be communicated separately to staff

40. What are the fire protection systems in the building?

The building is newly constructed and is protected by a fire alarm system comprising, smoke detectors, water sprinklers, fire hose reels and has two emergency exits.

41. Can I eat my lunch at my desk?

No. Staff should use the work café to eat lunch and other cooked foods. Coffee and dry foods are acceptable to eat at your desk.
